Siftables

I do believe the the good folks at the MIT media lab have done it again. The latest project to come out of the lab is siftables. Created by David Merrill and Jeevan Kalanithi, Siftables are cookie-sized computers with motion sensing, neighbor detection, graphical display, and wireless communication.

This is one of the more intersting examples of pysical computing we have seen. The brief video above shows you how they work and with just one look you can see the potential is almost limitless.

I cant wait to get this for my kids, I think it would be an amazing learning tool. Siftables shoul be available sometime soon. For more information and videos on siftables, please visit the Taco lab blog.
