The fine folks over at EA games and Maxis have finally release the eagerly anticipated game “Spore”, well just the creature creator is available so far, but you can register for the complete game now. My custom creature is posted above.

What is Spore you ask? With Spore you can create and nurture your very own creature through five stages of evolution: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Or if you prefer, spend as much time as you like making creatures, vehicles, buildings and spaceships with Spore’s unique Creator tools.

While Spore is a single player game, your creations and other players’ creations are automatically shared between your galaxy and theirs, providing a limitless number of worlds to explore and play within.

Richard Pasqua has a strong suspicion that this game will be bigger then any other game in history, the possibilities are endless with this game engine.

Go to the Spore website and start having fun with the free trial, its pretty addicting.

If there’s one thing Richard Pasqua likes its alternative bands that have the power to influence generations of music. Joy Division is one of those bands who came to an end before it really began. This post punk band cut the way for many modern rock, alternative, goth, new wave bands.

I was thrilled to see Anton Corbin pay tribute to Ian Curtis and the rest of the Joy Division band in the movie “Control“. In true Anton fashion this movie was beautifully shot, every frame was perfectly composed. The the black and white film stock and well directed lighting gave this film a great broody feeling which perfectly set the tone for the Joy Division music and story.

After the death of Ian Curtis, Peter Hook and Stephan Morris went on to start another one of my favorite bands, New Order.

Richard Pasqua recommends you pick up the album “Unknown Pleasures” from the iTunes store. He also recommends investing in the “International” the best of album from New Order.

Some of you may already know that I love Dachshunds, well I recently came across this image of what looks like a German Olympic poster from 1971. The Germans do love their weiner dogs or Teckles as the call them in the father land. This looks to be a sketch and foam rendering of a prototype of the first Olympic mascot.

HAHA, ya get it. A company called Dream in Plastic is selling these unusual little bath soaps shapped like little hands in all different shape, sizes and colors. The soap is goat’s milk + vegetable glycerin & has a light scent. comes in a pretty bag… All ready for gifting to a friend with dirty paws!

I wonder if Tyler Durden knows about these.
